Omicron Squad episode 77: Hurried Plan

“So, we drop off in Austin and blow up a plant?” Katelyn said. “Sounds like a great plan.”

“We need a strategy,” Alena said. “And fast.”

“I’ve got one,” Sirvanna said. “I’ll create a distraction. You four go in and blow it.”

“That seems really dangerous,” Yuni said.

“Are you trying to get killed?” Alexa asked. “Just giving up?”

“I’ll be fine,” Sirvanna said.

“No, you won’t,” Alexa said.

“It is a good plan,” Alena said.

“You can’t actually mean to let her go off on her own,” Yuni said.

“I’m not,” Alena said. “You and Alexa will go with her. Katelyn and I will sneak in and destroy the target.”

“Goodie,” Katelyn said. “I get the easy job.”

“We just have to hold out, right?” Alexa asked. “And you’ll get us out in time?”

“Of course she will,” Yuni said. “Alena wouldn’t let anything bad happen to us.”

“Not with you in the group at any rate,” Katelyn said.

“We’ll get back as fast as we can,” Alena said. “And I can move damn quickly.”

“I, on the other hand, like to take my time,” Katelyn said. She met Alexa’s gaze. “Kidding. I’m fast enough.”

“I really don’t need their help,” Sirvanna said.

“Too bad,” Alexa said. “You’re getting it.”

“Yeah,” Yuni said. “The three of us will stick together.”

“We’re overhead,” Alena said. “Go, quickly.”

“Good luck,” Yuni said. “I love you.”

“And I you,” Alena said.

Alexa flew out of the hatch. Yuni and Sirvanna parachuted behind her.

About ktulu007

I don’t really like talking about myself, but for the curious I’m Deutsch. I’m the second oldest of three children, four if you count my adopted sister. We largely grew up without a father. Writing has been a major passion for me since I was small. I like to write online because it offers me some freedom to experiment with different genres and provides me with more of an audience than I would normally have access to. One of my bigger influences has always been my youngest sister. She’s very socially aware, an excellent judge of quality when it comes to writing and very supportive of my efforts. Whenever I write I ask myself “would she find major problematic elements in this that I need to change?” and I try to be socially responsible enough and good enough to be as good of a writer as she thinks I am.
